primary share (savings) account
At a credit union, a savings account is called a share account; your primary share account is your ownership share of the credit union. It:- requires a minimum balance of $25, plus a one-time $5 membership fee to join
- pays dividends quarterly, on the average daily balance
- allows for unlimited deposits and withdrawals, within regulation
- allows for payroll deductions and automatic withdrawals
special purpose share (savings) account
This account can help you save for whatever reasons you choose (holiday shopping, vacations, etc.). It:- has no minimum balance requirement
- pays dividends quarterly, on the average daily balance
- allows for unlimited deposits and withdrawals, within regulation
- allows for payroll deductions
club share (savings) account
Like the special purpose account, this allows you to save money separately from your primary share account. It:- requires a $5 minimum balance to open and maintain the account
- pays dividends quarterly, on the average daily balance
- allows for unlimited deposits and withdrawals, within regulation
- allows for payroll deduction
safari savings program
Help your children learn that saving money is exciting! This savings account for children 12 and under rewards them for saving by giving them prizes. It:- requires a minimum opening balance of $25
- does not require the customary $5 membership fee, which is waived
- gives children a safari buck each time they make a deposit of at least $3 (limit one safari buck per day); those safari bucks can be redeemed for prizes (on display at all the branches)
